McDonald's x Uber Eats

Giving the People Employees, What They Want.

As the creative lead for national brands on Uber Eats, I noticed a lack of photography showcasing those very partnerships. Our global teams also felt the need for assets, with some even creating their own. Unofficial creative made it challenging to control brand and quality across the platform. We needed a fast solution to support our teams, and deliver on their marketing needs.

The most prominent partnership was McDonald’s. We quickly devised a solution to supply our teams with what they needed, whilst also celebrating the newly updated Uber Eats’ brand look and feel.

We created an extensive library to cater to all possible marketing needs; including country specific Mcdonald’s branding when needed.

On delivery, we included templates and brand guidelines to ensure we’d get the best output when teams implemented our assets.

The creative had great success. Marketing materials in the U.S. boasted an awareness increase of 7.5% (surpassing double the average of 3%).

The assets were so well received, our marketing teams quickly pivoted to run campaign posters during finals week at UBC and USC. Both saw equal success rates.
